KAI Corporation and its affiliated companies (hereinafter collectively referred to as ‘KAI Group’ (*1)) (‘KAI Group’ (hereinafter collectively referred to as ‘KAI Group’ (*1)), whether as an individual or as an organisation, is committed to protecting the interests of all users of the customer services operated by KAI Group (hereinafter referred to as ‘Services’) (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Customer’). KAI Group respects the privacy of its customers and pays careful attention to the management of the personal information it has acquired, and strives to provide reliability and peace of mind as a company.

1. about ‘personal information’
The term ‘personal information’ means ‘personal information’ as used in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003, hereinafter referred to as the ‘Personal Information Protection Act’). KAI Group companies shall use the personal information of customers appropriately to the extent necessary to achieve the following purposes. If personal information is to be used beyond the scope necessary for the achievement of the following purposes, prior consent shall be obtained from the customer in an appropriate manner.
A. Provision of the Services.
B. Contact, distribution and sending of email newsletters, direct mail, DM, various notices, etc. in connection with the use of the Service.
C. Provision of personal information to the Service's partner companies based on the customer's consent or application.
D. Distribution and display of advertisements, content, etc. based on analysis of attribute information, device information, location information, action history, etc.
E. Improvement of the Service, analysis of usage, development of new services and marketing.
F. Implementation of campaigns, questionnaires, monitoring, interviews, etc.
G. Confirmation and response to opinions and enquiries relating to the Services.

4. optionality of provision of personal information
KAI Group asks customers to provide personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use. You do not necessarily have to answer all items, but if you do not answer certain questions, you may not be able to use the Service.
5. joint use of personal data
The KAI Group will share the personal information of its customers as follows.

6. provision of personal information to third parties
Kaijirushi will not provide personal information of customers to third parties other than subcontractors without the consent of the customer. However, this does not apply when required by law or when cooperation with public authorities is necessary, or when stipulated in the Personal Data Protection Act.
7. disclosure, correction and suspension of use of personal information
In principle, only the customer himself/herself may request the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use and suspension of provision to third parties of personal information held by the KAI Group (the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act shall be followed in processing the request afterwards). 8 Organisation and structure
KAI Group companies shall comply with all laws and regulations relating to the protection of personal information, and shall establish and comply with internal rules for the protection of personal information. These internal regulations are continuously reviewed by the Compliance Committee of the KAI Group. Personal information provided to KAI Group is handled only by information handlers appointed by the KAI Group's Chief Privacy Officer.
9. security control measures
The KAI Group has implemented the following security control measures with regard to the personal information it has acquired.
(1) Safety management measures within the KAI Group and understanding of the external environment
The KAI Group has established and maintained a personal information protection policy and internal rules for the protection of personal information, and has taken necessary and appropriate measures for the safe management of personal information, including the appointment of a personal information protection officer. When handling personal information outside Japan, the Group regularly collects and understands information on the personal information protection systems of the country concerned and takes safety management measures accordingly.
(2) Supervision of employees
When KAI Group has its employees handle personal information, it ensures that they are obliged to maintain the confidentiality of such information and conducts necessary and appropriate supervision, such as regular inspections of the handling situation, in order to ensure the safe management of such personal information. When the handling of personal information is outsourced in whole or in part, the Group carries out necessary and appropriate supervision, such as conducting regular audits based on the contract with the outsourced company, to ensure that the outsourced personal information is managed safely.
10. changes to this policy
KAI Group reserves the right to change this Policy at any time, except as otherwise required by law.
11. security measures on the internet
When personal information is provided via the website operated by the KAI Group, the industry standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is used to encrypt the data transmitted over the Internet to prevent eavesdropping and falsification of data by third parties.
